Back and blogging(again)/ Japan Trip Part 1: Peace Park

Ok, I'm back in the blogging business again, lolz, after my friends urged me to start blogging again and of course because i like blogging too, just been a bit lazy, anyway, I just came back from Japan from a Youth Exchange Programme organised by the Lions Club Of Malaysia(It was freaking awesome by the way!!!), felt like an alien on the 1st day. Immediately when I arrived at my host parents home, I felt like, wow, this is so like, out of my place, and was really homesick, this happened on the 1st few days as I tried to adjust to life in Japan. My host mother was kind enough to bring me to the peace museum to explore on my 2nd day there, the place where the A-bomb dropped, here are some pictures of the place.

The A-Bomb Dome, now a World Heritage Site, when the A-Bomb was dropped, everybody inside was killed instantly, so darn sad.....

A marble plaque explaining the about the A-Bomb dome.

the statue on the left side was a poet who wrote a poem for the children who died during the bombing, the right statue is to remember the children who died during the bombing.

This river is a very sad place, when the bombing occured, a lot of people were burned and a lot of them jumped into the river hoping that it would doused the fire burning their body, so basically, a lot of bodies was found in the river after the incident.....

A look into the interior of the A-Bomb dome, we weren't allowed in it, so i could only take photos outside.

A brief history on the A-bomb dome, which used to be a business trading centre before the war happened, its was designed by a Czech, Jan Etzel, so thats why when you look at it at that time, it was totally different from the other buildings in Hiroshima.

Another look at the A-Bomb Dome

Another building that stayed intact after the blast, but miraculously, someone survived the blast in this building, he was in the basement when the explosion happened. He lived to be 80 years old, but not without effects from the radiation of the blast.

There is supposedly a small flame burning behind me, its the flame of peace or something, but the flame is so meager that I don't think you can see it in this picture.

High School Musical 2: The Asian Side

click to comment
I believe by now, most of the High School Musical fans would have finished watching High School Musical 2, that was definitely quite ok compared to the 1st(To be honest, the 1st 1's music was more rocking.) Anyway, I'm not here to talk about the movie, but to show you the Asian mania of High School Musical that has swept us. Here are the Asian versions of the song "Bet On It", "Everyday" and "You Are The Music In Me".

"Bet On It" sung by Xiao Zhu, Luo Zhi Xiang

"Everyday" sung by Justin Lo and Kary Ng

"You Are The Music In Me" sung by Jaclyn Victor and Vince Chong

I can't find the MV's in Youtube yet, so I'll try to change the vid's for Everyday and You Arre The Music In Me when they are uploaded k? I personally like Luo Zhi Xiang's rendition of Bet On It, looks so freaking awesome, but its like it has no connection to the movie, the MV that is. Oh, who cares, I just like the song!!!!!! Till next time!!! Tata!!!!

Sorcerer Supreme: Dr Strange

click to comment
Here comes more Marvel stories!!!! This time its about the Sorcerer Supreme: Dr. Stephen Strange. I just watch the Marvel movie about him and it was quite a blast(definitely better than Rogue Assassin, uhum....), it was about how he became the Sorcerer Supreme and assumed leadership of the sorcerer clan destined to protect different dimensions. Here's a brief recap of the movie:

A jackass in the beginning, Dr Strange was a magnificient surgeon who was arrogant and lost all hope in life as he constantly blamed himself for the death of his sister. Turning cold and egotistic, he refused to help those who would not pay and became more and more materialistic year by year. But in a horrific accident, Dr. Strange lost the use of both his hands, he could no longer perform surgeries and was dependent on others. Desperate to find a cure for his hands, he spent all his savings and eventually went bankrupt, until 1 day a man named Wong found him while he was attempting suicide and gave him a 2nd chance to redeem himself and bring himself all the way up a mountian to find the Ancient 1. From here he learned to care for people and was humbled and took the name Dr' Strange Sorcerer Supreme!!!!!!

Musical Treat: August Rush

Came across this movie on the Freddie Highmore website, you may know the little chld actor from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, 5 Children and IT and Arthur and The Invisibles.August Rush tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York’s Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.. A touching story, Its out due October 19th 2007 and as 1 of Freddie's fans I'll be waiting for its release here in Malaysia, lolz. The Many Faces Of Spiderman!!!

For those of you who don't know, Spiderman was once accused of murder and had to go into hiding as he was really wanted by the authorities and by every bounty hunter in the world.(of course, with a 5 million dollar reward, which bounty hunter wouldn't want him?) With that, our web slinging hero(Peter Parker a.k.a Spiderman) needed a new identity, and he got 4 to be exact, hahaz, here are the identities:

Ricochet
click to comment
The 1st would be Ricochet, a superathlete with amazing agility and reflexes. While searching through a local thrift shop, Mary Jane Watson (Peter's girlfriend, obviously) discovered a leather jacket with an "R" on its back, using that insignia, its was a starting point for the new identity. Ricochet showed Peter Parker's wild side as Ricochet ain't exactly your law-abiding member of society.

The Hornet
click to comment
Peter, dressed as Spiderman, went and visited his good friend Hobie Brown, an electronics wizard and inventor. Hobie had recently invented a cybernetically controlled jetpack. This was perfect as it gave Spiderman a new identity. With ideas of his own, Peter designed some additional weapons and became "The Hornet". The Hornet's jetpack is so heavy that no normal human being could lift it, of course Spiderman had no problem, hehe....

Dusk
click to comment
Spiderman had visited an alternate dimension called the Negative Zone a few weeks earlierand had acquired a costume that allowed him to merge with shadows and become practically invisible. To this Peter added a utility belt that contained gas, smoke and stun grenades. Then Peter decide to call this mysterious and dark persona of his, Dusk.... ooooo..... spooky

Prodigy
click to comment
Prodigy was the media darling, everybody loved him, possesing superhuman strength and a bulletproof costume, he could leap from building to building without fail. He was polite, honest and claim that with his powers, all he wanted to do was to help people. He achieved all the fame and respect that had always eluded Spiderman. He became the costumed champion that Peter had always wanted to become.

Peter in the end manged to prove his innocence and again continued with his crusade as the 1st persona that he portrayed and that was undoubtedly, Spiderman!!!!

What Happened to theother identities? They were later picked up by college students named Ritchie Gilmore(Prodigy), Johnny Gallo(Ricochet), Cassie St. Commons(Dusk) and Eddie McDonough(The Hornet). They formed the group called "The Slingers". And their story would be too long to explain as I am lazy to type that much right now, hahaz.

Remember, all the persona's on top are Peter Parker a.k.a Spiderman!!! He managed 4 identities at 1 time, and all the powers of the other persona's are actually just his spider powers, hahaz!!!!

Ok, till next time!!!! Tata!!!!
